Orlando ... ASIG®, an industry leader in aviation services, announced today that it has named Edward J. Zwirn, Vice President, Sales and Airport Relations.  Ed will report directly to Andy Reeves, Senior Vice President, Operations and Sales.  He will be responsible for developing new business opportunities for ASIG's Technical Services line of business which includes aircraft deicing, airport ground equipment maintenance and repair, and mechanical and technical services for specialized airport equipment such as jet bridges and baggage handling systems.  He will also be responsible for working with airport authorities to market and develop new facility support services that minimize their operational expenses.

Ed has been involved in aviation for twenty years serving with Atlantic Aviation, AMR Combs, Signature Flight Support and was most recently Chief Operating Officer for SheltAir Aviation.  At SheltAir he was instrumental in growing the FBO chain from 2 locations to 11 over the course of six years. 

Commenting on the appointment, Andy Reeves, Senior Vice President Operations and Sales, remarked, "Over the past twenty years, Ed's skills as a successful negotiator have led to substantial growth and new business development.  As ASIG looks to strategically grow its Technical Services division through acquisitions and further market penetration, Ed's airport relationships and extensive background in aviation sales and management will be a valuable asset."
